MLB: Monday's plays

Play: Houston +1.5 -160 (Feldman vs. Eovaldi)

Time: 7:05 p.m. ET

TV: MLBN

Reasoning:  The Astros would be 89-36 if they were given 1.5 rpg. New York would be 48-75 if it gave 1.5 rpg. Houston will send out Scott Feldman, who has a 1.89 ERA in his last three starts. He has allowed three or fewer runs in five straight. And he is 5-4 with a 3.45 ERA in 12 career games (10 starts) vs. the Yankees. Nathan Eovaldi has a 4.24 ERA and a 1.46 WHIP. Astros relievers have a 2.63 ERA. Houston scores a half-run more per game vs. RH. New York scores a half-run fewer per game against righties. Over the last 10 games, the Astros bullpen has a 1.35 ERA and the Yankees bullpen has a 3.44 ERA.

Play: Cincinnati -121 (Farmer vs. Sampson)

Time: 7:10 p.m. ET

Reasoning: Buck Farmer is starting only because Daniel Norris and Anibal Sanchez are on the DL. He has an 8.39 ERA and 1.86 WHIP. In three starts earlier this year he went 0-2 with a 9.20 ERA. Keyvius Sampson was hammered in his last go-around, but he displayed ability in the two prior starts against the Dodgers and Diamondbacks (combined 11 IP, 9 H, 3 R). Reds relievers have a 2.97 ERA in the last 10 games. Detroit relievers have a 4.29 ERA overall.

Record: 416-331-17 (55.7%)
