MLB: Tuesday's plays

Play: Oakland +1.5 -115 (Graveman vs. Hutchison)

Time: 7:07 p.m. ET

Reasoning: The Athletics would be 77-36 if they were given 1.5 rpg. Toronto would be 49-64 if it gave 1.5 rpg. Oakland took three out of four last weekend against Houston. The A's will send out Kendall Graveman, who has a 3.90 ERA overall, a 3.10 ERA on the road and a 3.17 ERA in night games. Drew Hutchison gave up seven runs over five innings in his last start. He has a 7.07 ERA and a 1.86 WHIP in his last three turns and he has a 5.42 ERA and a 1.52 WHIP on the season. Oakland scores a half-run more per game vs. RH. The Jays score fewer runs and hit 32 points lower against RH.


Play: Atlanta +1.5 -130 (Perez vs. Ramirez)

Time: 7:10 p.m. ET

Reasoning: The Braves would be 67-45 if they were given 1.5 rpg. Tampa Bay would be 38-74 if it gave 1.5 rpg. Atlanta is hitting .298 and is scoring 6.45 rpg over its last five. It averages 1.10 more rpg vs. RH. The Rays score 0.64 fewer rpg vs. righties. Williams Perez allowed Tampa Bay one run over five frames on May 20. In his other interleague start (June 15) he pitched six scoreless innings against Boston. Erasmo Ramirez is winless in his last four starts and he has given up 14 runs in his last 19.1 IP. He permitted the Braves three runs over five innings on May 19.
