MLB: Friday's Cle/KC

Play: Cleveland/Kansas City over 8 -120 (Tomlin vs. Ventura)

Time: 8:10 p.m. ET

Reasoning: This is a low total especially with both squads running out struggling starters. Josh Tomlin is 1-5 in his last seven starts, but at least he has been consistent: he has allowed four or more runs in six of those games. On July 4 the Royals roughed him up big-time (5 R, 10 H, 5.2 IP). Tomlin has a 4.43 ERA overall and a 6.88 ERA and a 1.47 WHIP in his last three outings. Yordano Ventura has a 1.33 WHIP in 2014 and a 5.60 ERA and a 1.70 WHIP in his last three turns. Against Boston on Sunday he didn't strike out a batter and was reached for six runs on nine hits in 4.1 IP. The Indians hit 23 points higher and score 1.05 more runs per game vs. RH. The Royals hit 10 points higher and score exactly one more rpg vs. RH. Kansas City relievers have a 4.52 ERA at home, and the Royals lead the AL in stolen bases (84).

Record: 151-115-6 (56.8%)
Bankroll: +76.99%
