MLB: Wednesday's play

Play: New York/Cleveland under 8.5 -120 (McCarthy vs. Tomlin)

Time: 7:05 p.m. ET

Reasoning: Neither squad has seen the respective opposing pitcher since 2012. Brandon McCarthy will get his first start as a Yankee, and he was impressive during his last two turns with Arizona. He allowed just three runs in 12.2 IP in those games. New York also should miss Carlos Beltran (knee) tonight, and that would be the third consecutive contest that he has missed. Josh Tomlin has a 1.16 WHIP on the year and a 1.12 WHIP in his last three starts. Two outings ago he tossed a one-hitter. Bullpen-wise, the Yankees have a 2.94 ERA on the road and the Indians have a 3.11 mark at home. In the last five games, New York relievers have a 2.60 ERA and Cleveland's crew has a 0.59 figure (not a misprint). Over the last 10 games, the Yankees bullpen has a 2.78 ERA and the Indians have a 0.91 ERA. New York scores 0.57 less runs per game vs. RH and on the road against RH it scores 2.35 less rpg than vs. LH.

Record: 133-100-6 (57.1%)
Bankroll: +76.08%
